Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries
Summer is the season of gorgeous ripe strawberries. Aside from snacking on your favorite fruit, you can easily create a decadent dessert that is perfect for sharing. A package of strawberries with a few ingredients for a cheesecake filling will quickly result in a family favorite dessert.
Ingredients for Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries
1 package of fresh strawberries
½ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 package of softened cream cheese (8 ounces)
Piping bag and tip
Directions for Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries
Set cream cheese out of refrigerator approximately 30 minutes before you begin preparing your recipe. You want it to soften so it blends easily.
In a large bowl or mixer, combine your cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Mix until well incorporated.
Take the mixture and put in a piping bag with the tip of your choice. Any tip will work.
Next you want to work on your strawberries. Make sure they are washed, and then cut an X shape in the top of each strawberry. Cut about ¾ of the way down on the strawberry, but don’t cut all the way through.
Complete this with all of your strawberries. I also recommend that you pull each section a little to help it stay open. Don’t pull to hard, just very gently. It helps in getting the piping bag in, to fill strawberries.
Then pipe in some of the filing in each strawberry. Serve or store in refrigerator till it is ready to serve.
Serving Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries
Since these are a great option for dessert, you’ll want to display them on a tray for everyone to grab. One great tool to keep these upright and easy to grab is to use an egg keeper or deviled egg tray. They sit easily into the base and will stand upright for a beautiful serving option at dinner or any party event.
