There are so many things out there telling us they can give us a more youthful look. As I’ve expressed before; invasive surgery due to the risks and cost are things I completely steer away from.
There are some great alternatives to surgery that actually use what we naturally produce in our bodies. For instance like Hyaluronic Acid. We already have this underneath our skin but with aging and everything life brings around us the Hyaluronic Acid will begin to not work the way it use to.
Finding a non-surgical option that works perfectly for our needs can bring back years to our skin.
Using Hyaluronic Acid in Cosmetic Treatments
Hyaluronic acid is a part of tissue present beneath our skin and it has the role of resorbing and improving collagen synthesis within extracellular matrix. Skin aging leads to disturbance in collagen and hyaluronic acid synthesis and appearance of wrinkles. This process starts in our 30s and 40s under the influence of different outer elements such as the Sun, water, air and smoking and inner elements like overall health of the organism, diseases and hormones.
This acid can bind large quantities of water, 1000 times more than its own mass, so this is a very important substance in cosmetic industry as well as important part of different fillers. Molecules of hyaluronic acid are restoring skins elasticity through this binding process.
Molecule mass called fibroblast are important for activity and restoration of subcutaneous tissue. This process is called bio stimulation; by using its own strength, organism restores its own skin and tissue. Hyaluronic acid stimulates activation of retinol, anti-aging molecule that is stimulating synthesis of elastin and cell regeneration. Recent studies show that it can penetrate the skin if it is reduced to micron size. Based on that, various pharmaceutical companies have created drugs and fillers that we use on daily basis for various cosmetic treatments. By penetrating the membrane, they are bonding to receptors of certain cells and stimulate natural synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the skin. This way, the skin accepts only the necessary quantity. It is so strong that it affects it in such an amazing way. Treatment is specially designed for mature skin. During the cosmetic treatment, small molecules of acid are penetrating deeper into the mesoderm, building hydro gel and firm structures while filling the wrinkles and bigger molecules are providing long hydration in upper layers of the skin. After a treatment, skin is retaining its lost properties and reduces any imperfections and wrinkles.
Nowadays, experts from doctormedica.co admit that there are various types of hyaluronic fillers for different types of consumers. One of the most popular choices is Juvederm which comes in many different shapes and dosages. People that have issues with smaller imperfections usually use Juvederm Ultra, a great medicine that lasts from 6 to 9 months. For deeper wrinkles, there is Juvederm Ultra Plus which lasts for about a year and is a bit pricier. Of course, there are other functions to hyaluronic products. There are those that are not so efficient with filling the lines, but are good for plumping up the lips and other parts of the body. The best example is Perlane. Some products are good for both wrinkles and plumping up the lips, like Restylane. According to manufacturers, this product can last for quite a long time in organism: up to 18 months.
Depending on the state of the skin, this treatment can be combined with vitamin C fillers. These fillers have excellent lifting effect, stimulate synthesis of collagen, improve tan, whiten the skin, stretches the skin, regenerate it and much more. Together with the acid products, it is great for synthesis of collagen and by using it regularly you are able to have perfect skin and appearance.
What do you think of these more practical ways of restoring youth? Given the reduction in risks and cost compared to surgery would these be options you would look into?
