Hectic and crazy are pretty mild terms to use when it comes to my typical days. There is never a dull moment in the life of this mom of 7. Things have gotten a little more chaotic and I’ve been looking for balance, desperately.

I wish I could say my life runs smoothly or that things are always going right. Quite frankly, it’s the complete opposite. My life is pure chaos. Since the day my husband met me he has said I live in “controlled chaos”. I’m not too sure about the controlled part lately.
I’ve been a student mom, career mom, stay-at-home-mom and work-at-home-mom. None of them are simple, easy or the same. When I was working outside the home I always thought things would be easier if I could just stay at home or if I could work at home. NOPE, it’s not easier and at times can be harder or at the least very different. None of the scenarios are easy, but as we all know nothing wonderful and fabulous in life comes by easily.
I couldn’t wait to crack open my book Stocks, Bonds & Soccer Moms: 7 Steps to a Balanced Life. I’m in some serious need of balance. I’m not even sure I know what balance is anymore 🙁
From start to finish Michelle Perry Higgins is right there with me in my mess of chaos. She writes from a non-judgmental; “I’ve been where you are or maybe I’ve been worse off than you”, point of view. She is absolutely real. If I could describe reading this book with just one word it would be; REAL.
This is a funny, honest and very direct book that lays out very practical things we can all do in life to bring balance. Balance is what I am seeking for myself and for my family.
She covers marriage, boundaries, homemaking, relationships with friends/co-workers/extended family, finances and the ever self-defeating image of the perfect so-called “supermom”.
This is not a read and your done book and it’s not a standard self-help type book either. Stocks, Bonds & Soccer Moms: 7 Steps to a Balanced Life is an action plan, self-motivator and helping hand up book.
I am now reading the book for the 2nd time and I’m already finding and seeing things from a different and positive point of view. I have been taking practical steps to actually implement the things I’m learning.
I would love for everyone to go out and get a copy. I have been truly energized and see the light at the end of my unbalanced tunnel. I have already seen areas improved on and see so many places I didn’t even know I could work on.
Head on over here to Amazon and get a copy of Stocks, Bonds & Soccer Moms: 7 Steps to a Balanced Life. In fact get a copy for you and someone you know 🙂 It’s available as a Hardcover, Paperback or Kindle. If you are in need of change and direction like me, you won’t be disappointed.
