Authentic Coquito Recipe
Delicious and creamy, this is a drink you will love and love serving to others.
  • Pinch of saltto taste
  • 3/4teaspoon Cloves
  • 1/4teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1cup Coconut Flavored Bacardiusually the size of the can
  • 15 oz Coconut Creamusually the size of the can
  • 13.5oz Coconut Milk
  • 12oz Evaporated Milk
  • 14oz Condensed Milk
  • 2 Anise Stars
  • 1 1/2 Cups water
  1. In a small pot, add water and anise. Gently boil for 2-3 minutes. Let cool completely, remove anise seeds from water. If you prefer you can use ground anise. I like to boil down the anise stars for enhanced flavor.
  2. In a blender, add all of the ingredients, minus the Bacardi. Blend until mixed well. Depending on the size of your blender or if you are doubling the ingredients, you may have to do this in batches.
  3. Add mixture to a pitcher. Add in the Bacardi, and with a large spoon, mix. Refrigerate for at least an hour or two before serving.
Recipe Notes

If you’d like you may change things up from this Traditional Coquito Recipe to make it another flavored Coquito. ¬†You may also adapt the amount of Bacardi to your liking.
