I have a confession to make.
Let’s start with a little background. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but I have seven amazing children. As much as I love them, I don’t like all the changes my body is still going through from having them. One of those changes is coming into full fruition with peri-menopause approaching. I’ve been experiencing bladder leakage. I didn’t see myself having this trouble so soon and it’s something many of us don’t really like to discuss.
Bladder leakage is an issue many of us go through, but don’t openly talk about enough. I remember a few years ago, my grandmother came to visit after I had my fifth child. As I was helping her get situated into our guest room, I noticed she had a bag of Depend.® I was shocked only because I had never noticed them under her clothes, it was pretty interesting to see how discreet they are.
Often we don’t discuss bladder leakage because it’s a stigma that we like to hide from others. I had worried about needing to get something for my incontinence issues and was delighted to see how elegant Depend® Silhouette® Active Fit really are. They are soft and thin enough that I can use them without anyone seeing them. I have even forgotten I’m wearing them. I can wear dresses, shorts, pants… anything.
As a mother with seven children, you could only imagine how busy I can be. My oldest is in high school, and my youngest is getting ready to start kindergarten. I am often in the car, on the field, or standing in line somewhere. Constantly on the go and busy I don’t have time to let bladder leakage issues stop me from doing all I need to do. I don’t want to have times where I feel I can’t live a full active life because I might laugh, cough or sneeze while I’m out and about, and deal with the resulting issues.
Depend® Silhouette® Active Fit offer a “thin design, complete comfort, and super-absorbent.” I have found a gem! The look and comfort level is perfect for my lifestyle. They’re not noticeable and fit perfectly. I keep them on hand when I know I’m going to be on the go and don’t want to let my bladder leakage hold me back. When the subject comes up, I’m no longer afraid to talk about bladder leakage.
