As I’m getting older and approaching my Forties and Fifties there is a new word that’s been added to my vocabulary, The Other F Word. No, no don’t worry. I’m not gonna start swearing. What I have found is, age is just a number and this F word can be as fun as you decide to make it! I’ve found a fabulously entertaining series streaming on Amazon that shows me you can have fun at any age.
“The Other F Word” Series
I’m not much of a TV watcher, it’s hard for me to find the time or frankly find anything engaging enough to keep me watching. For the first time in years I’ve been held captive by a show. It’s a brutally honest and real show describing what many women go through or feel as they approach their forties and fifties. “The Other F Word” was able to make me shake my head in disbelief, look deeper at my own life and seriously made me giggle all in a matter of minutes.
“The Other F Word”, is a comedy and drama series by award-winning filmmaker Caytha Jentis. This series is available on Amazon for FREE. They have wonderful cast: Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy), Michael Boatman (The Good Wife), Reiko Aylesworth (24), Judy Gold (Jim Gaffigan Show) and Ben Bailey (Cash Cab). Through this series they touched on topics that are totally out there for adults come of age in mid-life when you find your kids have all of a sudden grown up. The topics are addressed in a way where they didn’t hold back. Reality of ageism, sexism, sexuality at 40 and over and dating after divorce or death were brought to life in a genuinely honest way.
The women in this series share what many women go through in their 40’s and 50’s where they can often be overlooked and ignored. They showed their vibrancy and love for life and reminded us that Fun Never Gets Old. Life does not end after 30, to the contrary we see how women can get more real and in touch with themselves with age.
I adored every single one of these women and totally felt their pain, anguish and loved when they found their zest for life. Through their ups and downs the ladies bond grew stronger and left me cheering for each of them. I’m so excited to watch more of what “The Other F Word” Series ladies have in store for me… Amazon has got me hooked!
