My family loves Chicken Wings. They devour anything they can eat with their hands and dip into some yummy sauce.
I love making this recipe for them because they get the great crispy taste of chicken wings without me having to fry them. There is never a wing or drumette left after I make these.
Here is my recipe for some oven crispy, very tasty and oh so Easy Baked Chicken Wings.
24 Chicken Wings/drumettes (for really healthy chicken wings you can parboil them ahead of time)
6 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (More as needed)
2 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder (If you have time, fresh pressed garlic is even better)
2 teaspoons Onion Powder
2 teaspoons Rosemary
2 teaspoons Thyme
1 teaspoon Paprika
Hawaiian Salt/Kosher Salt/Sea Salt (To your particular taste)
Pre-heat Oven to 400 degrees. You may line your pan with aluminum foil for easy clean up.
Mix Olive Oil, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Rosemary, Thyme and Paprika in a bowl. You will want a bowl big enough so you can easily dunk chicken into it. Once everything (except salt) is mixed in the bowl take your wings and/or drumettes and generously coat them in the mixture. You may need to hit the bottom of the bowl to equally coat your wings since some of the ingredients have a tendency to sink. Place each wing/drumette in a shallow baking dish trying not to let them touch if possible.
If you run out of the olive oil and seasoning mixture make another 1/2 batch or so.
When you are done coating all of your wings (you may need to do this in batches depending on how many you are making and how big your pan is) you can now sprinkle your salt on top of each piece of chicken. Put as much or as little to your liking.
Place your pan in the preheated oven and cook 20 minutes. Remove from oven and flip each piece over, return to oven and cook for another 10-15 minutes. When I’ve been busy around the house and didn’t have time to flip them I just cook for 30-35 minutes until nice and crispy looking. They will have a much nicer all over browning if you do turn them.
Enjoy these tasty and Easy Baked Chicken Wings with ranch dressing or any other dipping sauce you and your family like.
