We have been doing our Christmas decorating and bringing in the love and true meaning of Christmas in our home. Our littlest one is in love with purple. She wants everything to be purple. Since she’s the baby and has my husband tied around her little finger he went and found all the purple ornaments he could to get his hands on 🙂
My husband is not one for decorating and he’s not big on traditions. As he joined in and saw the smiles, laughter, giggles and singing he was able to feel the love of family and the Christmas spirit fill our home.
Since I have grown to think of so many of you as extended family, I wanted to share a little bit of our Christmas decorating with all of you.
The one thing I’m beginning to notice as the kids are getting older; only a few of them stick around and actually help to decorate the tree. The toddler never left her little baby tree or our big family tree for one minute. She was mesmerized and had a blast. Her sweet innocence was felt by all of us.
As I sit here reflecting and thinking how fast my family is growing up and I’m a little sad. I am also able to appreciate that the kids still love to be part of our family traditions and time together they just do it a little different now and in shorter spurts.
What has resonated the most throughout the years of change and growth, is the underlying love we all have and the deep connections and desire to see each other happy and healthy.
I hope you enjoy some pictures I threw together to show you our fun day of decoration our family’s Christmas Tree. My next big goal is to get all 7 kids in one place at the same time to get a family picture…. Wish me tons of luck on this one!!!!!! Any tricks on this topic would be much appreciated.
