With a family there are always areas that are needing to be cleaned. No one likes a messy home, but let’s be honest we are often limited on time. If you are like us you are looking for what Priorities to focus on in order to Keep Your Home Clean. There are tips and tricks for doing this.
5 Priorities to Keep Your Home Clean
When it comes to keeping your home clean in order to provide a safe, secure, beautiful and healthy environment for your family, there are always going to have to be priorities, because your time is always limited. There are going to be things that you have to do first. And it’s generally a good idea to decide what those things are in advance, to prevent any familial confusion about things like chores.
So, five priorities that regularly come to the top of this list include making sure that the following areas always remain as clean as possible – your carpets and upholstery, your dishes and the area around the sink, the sheets on your beds, areas around the bathrooms, and the front entryway.
Carpet and Upholstery
You’d be amazed at what can collect in carpets and upholstery. On a macro level, you know that things can get ‘dirty’. On a micro level, there are bugs, dust, mites, pollen, grease, oils, skin cells, and more other things that you could shake a stick or a vacuum hose at. Keep those carpets clean, and keep that upholstery washed and wiped down. If there’s nothing else you can to do keep your family from getting sick, it’s taking care of that task first.
Dishes and the Sink Area
One of the first chores your should have your kids do, for many health and safety reasons, is the dishes. There are many different systems for washing dishes that keep that aspect of your life free from stress and worry, so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Simply follow those methods of disinfection and pass your methods on to your kids, and you’ll have a germ-free food prep area.
Sheets On the Bed
You spend one-third of your life sleeping. That means one-third of your life on your bed sheets. And if you just crash out there at night without taking a shower, your days will just continue to collect and then be covered up in a nice, dark, moist area every morning. Wash your sheets every week! That’s a new priority for everyone in your household.
The bugaboo that comes from bathroom areas is the unseen mold. Depending on how well ventilated your wet areas are, water can condense and drip into all sorts of tricky places. It’s up to you to know where these places are, and prioritize giving them a good disinfectant bath every few weeks or so.
The Front Entryway
And just in terms of clutter priority, the front entryway should always be a target of yours. Whatever people see right when they come into your home, that should always give them a good first impression and an accurate snapshot of who you are as a person and as a family.
